What is Infrastructure ?

IT infrastructure relates to standardized hardware, applications, networking resources and services necessary to maintain, operate and administer the IT system of an organization.

In the unprecedented areas of modern business, IT Infrastructure is becoming increasingly involved. The IT Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) is currently undergoing dramatic growth. There is no longer hardware or software— it is about delivering services that accomplish business needs. The future of technology is everywhere and will be guided by industry in nature.

When we talk about IT Infrastructure becoming highly involved in unprecedented areas of the modern-day enterprise, trends in IT Infrastructure have also improved tremendously. Below are some of the modern trends of IT infrastructure, which the IT system of an organization needs to integrate, operate and administer.

HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure)

With our strong leadership framework, we at Skillmine make the way, go the way and show the way.We work to achieve the strategic aims of the Organization and to deliver high performance to our customers. We beleive in being flexible to show how far our perserverance can stretch.

We are agile, we believe that change can bring new opportunities and pave the way towards growth and development. We reinvent, recreate and development. We aim to win as a team. Our debonair emloyees create and build Skillmine by inventing and encouraging new ideas.

SD-WAN (Software-defined networking)

SD-WAN(Software-defined networking) is an emerging technology to create and maneuver long-distance networks.SD-WAN endeavors dynamic and scalable connectivity over interminable networks. This can be seen as a major step in the evolution of network capabilities. Traditionally, enterprises use a private WAN service like MPLS which ensured the service and security level guarantee required for their WAN.

However, with the adoption of the cloud, the WAN bandwidth requirements have grown at an exponential scale. But getting additional bandwidth in a private WAN like MPLS is expensive. Additionally, internet WAN services don’t provide an option to prioritize important traffic provided by a private WAN like MPLS. SD-WAN comes to the rescue by providing a WAN overlay independent of the underlying transport. It helps to generate a pool of WAN links to create a virtual WAN. This abstraction makes it possible to load balance and optimize the traffic across multiple WAN links.

Hence the performance requirements of the enterprise network can be met regardless of the type of WAN connection be it private or internet. SD-WAN technology makes it more effective and flexible for companies to develop a network when it comes to using network resources. The technology needs an initial technical investment, but the long-term savings potential, especially over time, is strong.

Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

Hybrid cloud infrastructure consists of two or more separated clouds that are connected by standardized or proprietary technology, which permits the portability of data and applications. A hybrid cloud strategy is the use of these various technologies to achieve IT goals. The hybrid cloud model provides multiple data deployment options with extended flexibility.

Also, using AI helps make hybrid cloud intelligent by analyzing the right workload, cost and serves as a helping hand in real-time decision making and policy optimization. AI-as-a-Service can be used with a hybrid cloud to dive deep down and explore the gains without investing in sophisticated infrastructure and systems. Because of a better functioning both AI and hybrid cloud need to go hand-in-hand and also to utilize AI applications effectively, the architecture, scale, and skills need to change extensively within the datacenters.

Lastly, the usage of this duo of AI-hybrid cloud will help an organization to stand-out in this ever-growing IT market and also provide the customers to explore new possibilities and variable solutions for their everlasting requirements.

SD-WAN (Software-defined networking)

DevSecOps, with the strong vision of putting an end to the practice of combatting cybersecurity threats as they arise, takes up the next phase in Development Operations (DevOps). While DevOps is a combined set of adapted strategies to reduce the development of lifecycle while frequently delivering features, fixes, and updates aligned closely with business objectives, DevSecOps comes in as an extra healthy filling. This is an effort by the developers to incorporate security principles like vulnerability scans and penetration testing much earlier in the process. Developers introduce Security testing throughout the development timeline, by dealing with scenarios of actual security issues before they emerge, instead of after a threat or compromise has occurred.

DevSecOps goes with the assumption that everyone is responsible for security. This has resulted in the development of tools and techniques that improve security at several phases of the DevOps process. This integration has turned out giving very successful results, by shortening feedback loops, reducing incidents, and improving security through shared responsibility.

Although the tide is turning for DevSecOps in the market today, there are challenges for organizations while they adopt it. This is a new approach, and for different companies, different frameworks are required. Also, DevOps and DevSecOps have different operating models and priorities, while the management frameworks, developer roles and perceived lack of skills and solutions are at issue.

In recent years IT infrastructure has improved tremendously. The shift to dynamic supply shared resources, and cloud computing has contributed to IT speed, agility, and cost and has all contributed to the development of applications. The ability to deploy applications has grown in the cloud both in size and speed, evolving into agile (including continuing delivery) methodologies, which makes the application “big bang” feasible. In general, DevOps — the concept of combining design and IT operations under a “single unified umbrella” — has helped to increase everything from more regular launches of functionality to more frequent updates.

Skillmine technology consulting is delivering the best in class IT Infrastructure services in India, The Middle East, and the Americas.
